I Kissed Shara Wheeler (review)

KatieRead

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston is a romantic LGBTIQA+ comedy story. The story is told from the perspective of Chole Green and all characters in the book is portrayed in the eyes of Chloe Green as-well . Chloe Green has one goal and that is to become valedictorian of Willowgrove Christian Academy. However the only thing getting in her way is prom queen Shara Wheeler also known as the daughter of the principal from Willowgrove Christian Academy. This rivalry between Shara and Chloe lasts until the following events of Shara kissing Chloe unexpectedly. Later on a month before graduation Shara Wheeler disappears. Chloe Green is determined to find out what happened to Shara Wheeler and why Shara Wheeler disappeared. Chloe is on a hunt and a time limit a month before graduation , she soon finds out Shara kissed not only her but 2 other people. I Kissed Shara Wheeler is a really good book about teenage problems and the reality of what teenagers worry about and the challenges they face daily. This book really captures finding and figuring out love, friendships, family and the scare of growing up. I would give this book 3.5 stars because it was overall really enjoyable to read but preferably I love to mainly read horror or thrillers. This book was out of my comfort zone but I don't regret reading I Kissed Shara Wheeler. I would recommend I Kissed Shara Wheeler to people who enjoy reading about love, friendships, figuring out growing up/ the fear of growing up, teenage problems/teenage stories and LGBTIQA+ stories.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
