The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is my all-time favorite book. The Silent Patient is an amazing psychological thriller with a mind-blowing ending, and it is an addictive page-turner. This book had me guessing who the characters really are and what their true motives are. The book is told from Theo's perspective. Theo Faber is an English psychotherapist who is assigned to and intrigued by his new patient and her reputation. His notorious new patient is named Alicia Berenson, who shot her husband five times and has not spoken a word since that day. It has been exactly six years of complete silence. Theo's motive is to unravel his patient's true story and to get her talking again. This unraveling story had me hooked from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend The Silent Patient to people who love books that are page-turners, psychological thrillers, and overall books that you still think about years later. Overall, I would give The Silent Patient five stars.
