Later by Stephen King is the first Stephen King novel I have read this year and ever, so far, in my life. I would describe Later in the categories of crime, thriller, fiction, mystery, suspense, and paranormal activity. The story is about a son, Jamie, who develops a strange ability to "see what no one else can see and learn what no one else can learn" and a single struggling mother named Tia who does everything to protect her son. The book perfectly unravels how Jamie can use his strange ability to help others. I loved how engaging and addictive it was to read throughout the novel. Stephen King is widely known as a horror author; however, I wouldn't place Later by Stephen King in the horror category because it mainly focuses on paranormal activity and mystery/crime. In the future, I will definitely read more novels by Stephen King. Overall, I would give Later by Stephen King five stars.
