The House with the Golden Door written by Elodie Harper is under the category of mythology, fantasy, greek, fiction, feminism and Italy. The House with the Golden Door is apart of the wolf den trilogy (#2). The story starts off with a woman named Amara who recently escaped her life as a slave and sex-worker at the towns most notorious brothel. Amara is now relying on her safety, shelter, food and overall financial existence to her patron. Rufus, the patron is not the person Amara thinks he is. After the events of Amara’s recent trauma of leaving the abusive and toxic environment of the brothel we saw massive changes. I really enjoyed seeing her progress with being confident with herself and standing up for herself. Overall I would give The House with the Golden Door a total of 3 stars. The reason why i’m giving The House with the Golden Door a total of 3 stars is because I DNT the book. Firstly I didn’t read the first book (this probably had something to do with me not finishing the book) and secondly mythology is not something I would usually read.
